AML Nepal Successfully Conducts AML/CFT Training for Kumari Capital Staff
AML Nepal has successfully conducted a one-day specialized training program on Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Countering the Financing of Terrorism (CFT) for employees of Kumari Capital Limited.
The training focused on enhancing practical knowledge of AML/CFT in the securities market, particularly within merchant banking operations. It covered international AML/CFT standards, Nepal’s legal and regulatory framework, and the roles and responsibilities of market intermediaries as per Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON) guidelines.
The session was facilitated by experts Shreedhar Adhikari and Lekha Nath Pokhrel, with active participation from Kumari Capital staff who engaged in discussions on real-world compliance challenges and best practices in Nepal’s capital market.
AML Nepal emphasized that effective AML/CFT compliance is essential for ensuring transparency, credibility, and long-term stability of the financial system. The organization reiterated its commitment to providing specialized advisory, training, risk assessment, and compliance support services to financial institutions and capital market intermediaries in Nepal.
