Akshay Golyan Appointed Chairman of Golyan Group, Ushering a New Era

Akshay Golyan, 37, has been appointed as the Chairman of Nepal’s prominent Golyan Group, succeeding his nine-year tenure as Managing Director. His selection reflects the group’s vision for a new era of leadership and innovation. Announced during the group’s annual celebration, the appointment emphasizes family unity and strategic continuity, consolidating executive powers under Akshay to drive growth and global presence.

A graduate of Spain’s ESADE University, Akshay has directly overseen the group’s companies and will continue to lead initiatives in productive industries, renewable energy, agriculture, and hospitality. With over 10,000 employees and operations in more than 60 international markets, Golyan Group generates over USD 400 million annually. Akshay emphasizes modernizing the legacy, focusing on innovation, sustainable development, and institutional governance, while benefitting from the guidance of founder Pawan Golyan, now honored as Chairman Emeritus. The leadership transition is seen as a step toward strengthening the group’s role in Nepal’s economic growth and international competitiveness.
