Air India Confirms Nationalities of Passengers on Crashed Flight

Air India has confirmed that among the 242 people on board its London-bound Boeing 787-8 flight that crashed on Thursday, 169 were Indian nationals. The passenger list also included 53 British nationals, seven Portuguese nationals, and one Canadian national.
In a statement, the airline said the aircraft was carrying 230 passengers and 12 crew members. “The injured are being taken to the nearest hospitals,” the statement read. Air India further noted that it is fully cooperating with authorities conducting the investigation into the incident.
