AHPC AGM today at 11 AM; to approve 11% cash dividend; raising issued capital up to Rs 100 cr

Arun Valley Hydropower Development Company (AHPC) is convening its 18th Annual General Meeting (AGM) today (Bhadra 31, 2072). The hydropower AGM is going to be held at Nepal Trade Tower Business Centre, Thapathali Kathmandu at 11 AM.
The main agendas of the AGM includes approval of 11% cash dividend, to extend company’s issued capital from Rs 80 crore to Rs 100.
Bhej Prasad Timilsina – Public Director of AHPC told sharesansar that “the decision to increase issued capital is to maintain extra capital margin that the company can raise in future through bonus share and also there is no immediate chances of right share”.
Other agenda include financial highlights of 2071/72 and appointment of auditor and to amend article of associations.
AHPC has existing paid up capital of Rs 77.05 crore and has reserve of Rs 10.55 crore.
AHPC has posted a net profit rise of 3.95 percent in the fourth quarter of the last fiscal year. Its EPS stands at Rs 7.78 , its net worth per share at Rs 113.70 and P/E ratio stands at 40.93 times.
The projects under AHPC are Piluwakhola Hydropower Project (3MW), Ridikhola hydropower (2.4 MW), Kabeli-B1 Hydropower (25MW), Upper Piluwakhola Hydropower - (11MW), Lower Phemekhola Small Hydropower (3.5 MW) and Upper Khimtikhola Small Hydropower Project (12MW).
Among them, Piluwakhola and Ridikhola hydropower have been completed while the rest are in different stages of development.
Bhej Prasad Timilsina further told sharesansar that the AHPC subsidiary Kabeli-B1 Hydropower (25MW) will be the earliest project to be completed. Its completion date is finalized for Asoj, 2074 B.S.
