After 5 Days Consecutive Loss, NEPSE Ends Today's Session With Modest Gain While Intraday Turnover Declined to Rs. 1.85 Arba

In today's trading session, the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) Index closed at 2,106.18 points, as the index rose by 5.84 points or 0.27% compared to the previous day's closing. Yesterday the index experienced a decline of 26.14 points.

The session kicked off with the index opening at 2,097.85 and briefly touching an intraday low of 2,094.06. However, the market exhibited an upward momentum throughout the trading session, reaching an intraday high of 2,126.57, before finally settling at the closing value of 2,106.18.

During today's trading, a total of 262 scrips were exchanged through 40,303 transactions, with a substantial volume of shares traded amounting to 5,531,737, representing a turnover of Rs. 1.85 Arba. Market capitalization stood at Rs. 30.95 Kharba, with the float market capitalization at Rs. 10.95 Kharba.

SHIVAM CEMENTS LTD (SHIVM) recorded the highest turnover, with an impressive amount of Rs. 8.08 crores, and closed at a market price of Rs. 604. The shares of LUK were the most traded.

Sunrise Bluechip Fund (SBCF) had the highest gain of 7.10% for the day, while Wean Nepal Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (WNLB) experienced the highest decline of 4.31%.

In terms of sector indices, only three sector indices closed in red, the "Trading" sector registered the highest gain of 1.97% whereas the "Hydropower" sector lost the highest, declining by 0.37%.
