ADB President Meets PM Balendra Shah Following $165 Million Loan Agreement for Nepal

The President of the Asian Development Bank (ADB), Masato Kanda, held a courtesy meeting with Prime Minister Balendra Shah today. According to Deepa Dahal, the Prime Minister's press and research expert, the discussion took place at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers. The talks focused on improving good governance, driving economic reforms, and building infrastructure across Nepal.

Mr. Kanda, who is currently visiting Nepal, also met with Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle on Monday. Following that meeting, the Government of Nepal and the ADB signed a soft loan agreement worth approximately Rs 25 billion (around 165 million US dollars) to support development projects in the country.
