Activity declines in the neighbourhood of Dashain, NEPSE index loses 5.66 points while turnover shrinks to Rs. 1.26 Arba

The NEPSE index lost 5.66 points from last week's close and ultimately closed at 1,556.80.

NEPSE opened at 1,565.90, gained a tiny bit, and made the intraday high of 1,567.89. The intraday low of 1,554.14 is also only slightly below today's market-close at 1,556.80.

4,395,669 shares exchanged hands via 17,120 transactions. The trading of 187 scrips brought the total market turnover to Rs. 1.26 Arba.

The float index lost 0.42 points and closed at 108.28 while the Sensitive index is 308.27 at after losing 1.81 points.

The promoter shares of Himalayan Bank Limited (HBLPO) has the highest individual scrip turnover of Rs. 24.45 crores. The promoter shares also traded the most.

General Insurance Company Nepal Limited (GIC) technically hit a 10% positive circuit today. On the other side of things, Rairang Hydropower Development Company Limited (RRHP) lost the most 7.54%.

Trading and Non-Life Insurance sector gained today while all other sectors closed red. Trading gained the most 1.25% while Development Banks lost the most 1.42%.
