KATHMANDU, NOV 27:
Ace Development Bank and Dhading-based Rural Mutual Development (RMD) under the Emission Reduction Purchase Agreement (ERPA) will work with RMD — a bunding agency/coordinating and managing entity for 1,935 improved cooking stoves (ICS) in Dhading district and other districts in the future. The revenue generated from the carbon offset initiative will be utilised for further promotion of ICS by Rural Mutual Development, the bank said in a press note. The initiative is part of Winrok International’s ‘Promotion of ICS in Nepal’ project. The project has a target to install 5,000 ICS in Dhading, Sindupalchowk and Dialekh districts supported by Alternative Energy Promotion Center, The New Hampshire Charitable Foundation and The Putnam Foundation.
