9 kilograms of gold seized

Police seized nine kilograms of gold worth Rs 46.026 million from Dhulikhel in Kavre on Tuesday morning..

The gold , hidden under the driver seat of a van (Ba 2 Kha 2825), was confiscated at about 4 in the morning while being smuggled from Khasa to the Capital. Police arrested van driver Sete Tamang of Tatopani VDC in Sindhupalchowk district from the scene.

Chief of Kavre Police, Gita Upreti, said that the investigation into the case is underway. "We are interrogating the driver and will arrest the businessman involved in the smuggling ," she said to eKantipur.
