33-party enforce Nepal banda, vandalize vehicles
KATHMANDU, June 16:
Thirty three parties including CPN-Maoist, have called Nepal banda on Sunday protesting the proposed election for November 19 announced by the government.
The banda has adversely affected the life across the country. Normal life in various parts of the country affected as vehicular movement has been completely brought to standstill due to shutdown.
Educational institutions and market places are also completely closed down.
Meanwhile, the banda enforcers have vandalized the vehicles in Dang and Gorkha districts for defying banda.
According to our Dang correspondent Devendra Basnet, banda enforcers have vandalized a passenger bus and a truck in Dang. The banda organizer vandalized a bus (Lu 1 3238) and a truck (Na 4 Kha 8273) heading to Dang from east at Katuwa Khola section of Lamahi-Ghorahi road this morning.
Similarly, Cadres of CPN (Maoist) have also vandalized a private car (Ba 5 82 38) at Harmatarichwok near district headquarters. According to Narahari Sapkota, our Gorkha correspondent, the car was heading to district headquarters from Anbukhaireni, Tanahun when the vandalism took place.
