300th week of Bagmati Clean-UP campaign to be observed with fervor; procedure on sanitation to be sent to all 753 local units across the country by February 9

Government has decided to mark the 300th week of Bagmati River Clean-Up campaign on February 9 in a grand manner. Accordingly, the Ministry of Urban Development has formed a Main Organizing Committee today.

The Committee coordinated by Minister for Urban Development Mohammad Ishtiyak Rai has chiefs of all local units in Kathmandu as members. According to High-Powered Committee for Integrated Development of the Bagmati Civilization's board member Mala Kharel, Joint Secretary at the MoUD, Ramesh Prasad Singh, has been chosen as Committee's member-secretary.

The Bagmati River Clean-Up Campaign reaches 300th week coming Saturday.
The main celebration of 300th week will be organized at Shankhamul of Kathmandu where Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, ministers, lawmakers and high-ranking officials are also participating.

In a meeting held today at the Ministry of Federal Affairs and General Administration, Minister Lal Bahadur Pandit shared that a procedure on sanitation will be sent to all 753 local units across the country by February 9.

Minister Pandit shared that his Ministry had issues instruction to the concerned ones to form a Municipal level and ward level committees coordinated by the Mayor and Ward Chiefs respectively to make 300th week of Bagmati Clean-Up Campaign a success.
