27th Flora Expo Begins, Emphasizing Growth and Innovation in Floriculture

The 27th Flora Expo, organized by the Floriculture Association of Nepal, has commenced at Bhrikutimandap and will continue until March 22. Inaugurating the event, Bagmati Province Agriculture Minister Madhusudan Paudel reaffirmed the government’s commitment to supporting the floriculture sector and called for policy recommendations from stakeholders.

He stressed the need to modernize the industry through technology and promote plant protection and innovation. Association President Rajesh Bhakta Shrestha highlighted that floriculture spans 270 hectares across 52 districts, employing over 53,500 people. He also pointed out challenges related to imports and emphasized the importance of boosting domestic flower production.
