19th Durbarmarg Street Festival Set for May 23 in Kathmandu

The 19th edition of the Durbarmarg Street Festival is set to take place on May 23, 2026 (Jestha 9, 2083) in Kathmandu, bringing back vibrancy to the capital’s popular Durbarmarg area.

Organized by Mavericks Group and Arbitrary Events under the initiative of the Durbarmarg Development Board, this year’s festival will be held as ‘Xtreme Saturday’ with sponsorship from Xtreme Energy Drink.

The free-entry festival will feature family entertainment, food stalls, basketball, e-sports, cosplay, cultural performances, photo booths, and live DJ shows. Popular artists and bands including John & The Locals, The Axe, Folktronics, and Salin Magar are scheduled to perform.

Organizers believe this year’s ‘Xtreme Saturday’ will be one of the most exciting and memorable editions of the festival, which has become a major cultural and tourism attraction in Kathmandu.
