17th national handicraft expo and 15th handicraft competition concludes at Bhrikutimandap; several best handicraft producers receives cash prizes for their skill and hard work
Nepal Handicraft Association has concluded 17th handicraft exhibition and 15th handicraft competition by awarding the winners in different categories.
The first prize for the traditional handicraft in metal work was given to Mr. Prakash Tamrakar with cash prize of Rs 50K, second prize to Mr. Bishal Tamrakar with cash prize of Rs 30K and third prize to Mr. Chandra Bahadur Tamrakar with cash prize of Rs 20K.
Similarly, the organizer also awarded artists with disabilities in contemporary art category where the first prize went to Mr. Raghav Pokharel with cash prize of Rs 50K, second prize to Mr. Laxmi Bhakta Bhasema with cash prize of Rs 30K and third prize to Ms. Rasmi Amatya with cash prize of Rs 20K.
Likewise, Fair Trade Group has won first prize with cash prize of Rs 1 lakh in the pavilion group while Nepal Handicraft Producers Association Kathmandu received first prize in individual stall category with cash prize of Rs 25K.
