150 exhibitors in Plast Expo

KATHMANDU, Nov 13: Plast Nepal 2014 is set to begin in the capital from Friday. Plast Nepal Foundation is organizing the three-day event at Bhrikuti Mandap Exhibition Hall. It is scheduled to be inaugurated by Finance Minister Ram Sharan Mahat. Issuing a statement on Thursday, the organizers said all preparations for the event have been completed.

 "The event is the first of its kind in Nepal and aims to create a common platform where stakeholders of both national and international market can come together and enhance their relationship," the statement said, adding, "By exploring the true value and functionality of plastic, the exhibition aims to demonstrate potential of industrial growth in the plastic sector, and educate and make general public aware of the responsible usage of plastic.”

The exhibition will see participation of over 150 national and international exhibitors who will showcase innovative technologies in machinery and equipment, raw materials, semi-finished products, finished products, and services related to plastic industry.
