100 VW Polos sold in three months

KATHMANDU, FEB 18 -

Pooja International, authorised distributor of Volkswagen (VW) for Nepal, has sold 100 units of VW Polo, a compact hatchback car, within the first three months of the launch.

At a press meet here on Friday, Pooja International General Manager Bibek Bijukchhe said the VW Polo perfectly adapted itself to the Nepali

road conditions, which helped attract such a huge number domestic customers. “We are excited by the response,” said Bijukchhe.

Of the 100 Polos sold, 75 units are Polo ‘highline’ costing Rs 2.84 million, 20 ‘comfortline’ costing Rs 2.57 million and five ‘tradeline’ costing Rs 2.29 million.

To mark this achievement, the company has announced ‘Volkswagen once in a life time exchange offer’.

“Under this scheme, cars from any brands can be exchanged for VW vehicles,” Bijukchhe said.

Pooja International has targeted to sell 25 VW cars during the scheme which will run through February 26 at its showroom in Pani Pokhari, Kathmandu.
