Yambaling Hydropower Limited Concludes IPO Allotment for Project-Affected Locals of Sindhupalchowk

The IPO allotment for Project-Affected Locals of Sindhupalchowk by Yambaling Hydropower Limited was concluded today, 6th Baishakh, 2083.

The issued capital of the company is Rs. 70 Crores. Of this, 40%, i.e., 28,00,000 unit shares, will be issued to the public. Out of the total issue capital, 10%, amounting to 7,00,000 unit shares worth Rs. 7 Crores, was allocated to project-affected locals in Sindhupalchok District. The remaining 30% of the issued capital, i.e., 21,00,000 unit shares, will be offered to the general public. Of this general public issue, 10% of 21,00,000 units, a total of 2,10,000 units, were allotted to Nepalese citizens working abroad.

The issue received a total of 1,709 valid applications for 12,45,630 units. Meanwhile, 51 applications for 23,920 units were disqualified.

According to the allotment module, 1,246 applicants who applied for 10–770 kitta received as per applied kitta, totalling 3,35,280 units, while 463 applicants applying for 800-7,000 kitta each were allotted 780 units each, a total of 3,61,140 units, and an additional 358 applicants in the same category received 10 units each.

Muktinath Capital Limited has been appointed as the issue manager. For the project-affected locals and Nepalese citizens working abroad, the minimum application quantity to be applied is 10 units, while the maximum quantity is 7,000 units.


CARE Ratings Nepal Limited (CRNL) has reaffirmed the issuer rating of CARE-NP BB- (Is) for Yambaling Hydropower Limited (YHL). In Nepal, issuers with this rating are considered to carry a moderate risk of default in meeting their financial obligations on time.

Yambaling Hydropower Limited (YHL), established in 2007 and converted to a public company in 2021, operates the 7.27 MW run-of-river Yambaling Khola Hydropower Project in Sindhupalchowk, Nepal, which began commercial operations on February 20, 2024, under a BOOT (Build, Own, Operate, Transfer) arrangement.
