Two new branches of Prabhu bank in operation

Prabhu Bank Limited (PRVU) has opened its branch in Battar of Nuwakot district. The branch was formally inaugurated by the Constitutional Assembly member Bahadur Singh Lama. The chief district officer of the Nuwakot Umesh Dhakal and Superintendent of police (SP) Siddhi Bikram Shah were present in the program. In the inauguration program Ashok Sherchan, CEO of Prabhu bank said that the bank has done loan investment in altogether 22 hydropower companies. The newly opened branch has been opened seeing the prospect on hydropower and agricultural sector in Nuwakot district. The establishment of bank has benefitted to businessmen of Nuwakot added Rajan Shrestha, Chairman of Nuwakot Chapter of FNCCI. Bahadur Singh Lama, Chief Guest at the program put forth the idea of increment of financial activities with the establishment of the bank in the Nepal China border region. He requested the bank to invest in the agricultural sector in addition. Similarly, the bank has also opened a new branch in Kapan, Kathmandu. It has already commenced operation from today. The branch was inaugurated by the Executive Director of Nepal Rastra Bank, Bhishma Raj Dhungana. High ranking officials of the bank were present in the program. The branch offices have been shifted as Kapan branch from Newroad branch and to Battar branch of Nuwakot from Chitwan branch which were repeated during the merger process between Grand and Prabhu bank.The bank has 112 branches and 109 ATM counters. In the fiscal year 2071/72 the bank has collected Rs 45 arba in deposits and extended total of Rs 30 arba in loan and advances. It has earned Rs 1.3 arba net profit.
