Tribhuvan International Airport Closed Till Noon Due to Adverse Situation

Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) will remain closed until noon today, citing the prevailing adverse situation. Authorities said the decision was made considering the safety of passengers and operational challenges.
Leading domestic airline Buddha Air has also announced the suspension of its flights until midday. In a public notice, the airline apologized to its customers for the inconvenience and assured that passengers who had booked tickets but were unable to travel would receive a full refund.
Meanwhile, the Air Service Operators' Association of Nepal stated that, despite the difficult circumstances, it remained committed to providing essential services to the public. Association Chairperson Manoj Karki, in a press release, urged all member airlines to be prepared to resume operations and serve the people at a time of need.
The association also expressed deep sorrow over the loss of lives during Monday’s protest. Extending heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families, it wish for the speedy recovery of those injured.
