Synergy Power Development Halts Power Generation Operations Following Flood Damage

Synergy Power Development Limited (SPDL) Limited has temporarily suspended electricity production at it's 10 MW Sipring Khola Hydropower Project after heavy rainfall triggered floods on shrawan 05, caused damage to multiple structures in the project’s headworks area.

The company reported that a flood and landslide have caused extensive damage to most of the project's headworks structures, according to preliminary assessments.

The company said the information is based on an initial assessment and that a detailed evaluation of the damage, along with the estimated financial impact and timeline for restoration, will be disclosed once further inspections are completed.
