Sun Nepal Life Insurance Company Limited has achieved an upgraded ‘Triple B Plus (Care NP BBB+)’ rating from Care Ratings Nepal Limited, reflecting improved financial stability, credibility, and ability to meet obligations. The rating highlights the company’s strong performance, moderate credit risk, high-quality asset base, effective claims management, and experienced management team.

The upgrade was driven by consistent premium growth, robust underwriting, enhanced risk management through reinsurance, and strengthened capitalization exceeding NPR 5 billion. With a growing Life Insurance Fund of NPR 10.10 billion, a network of over 40,000 agents, and operations across 49 branches and 99 sub-branches, Sun Nepal Life is positioned to enhance customer trust, expand its market share, and capitalize on its strengthened financial standing in Nepal’s life insurance sector.
