Silver Prices Soar to Record High as Gold Gains Rs. 700 In Single Day
Gold, regarded as one of the most valuable safe-haven assets, surged by Rs. 700 per tola on Thursday to reach Rs. 259,700 per tola, up from Rs. 259,000 per tola the previous day.
According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association (FENEGOSIDA), the price of Tejabi gold also increased, rising to Rs. 259,000 per tola from Rs. 258,300 per tola a day earlier.
This marks a significant jump from the previous day’s rate of Rs. 260,700 per tola and exceeds the earlier record high recorded on December 15, 2025.
Silver prices followed a similar upward trend, climbing by Rs. 170 per tola to reach Rs. 4,055 per tola, the highest level recorded to date, compared to Rs. 3,885 per tola previously.
