Sagarmatha Jalbidhyut Company Limited Calls AGM on Mangsir 26 With An Agenda to Issue Right Shares

Sagarmatha Jalbidhyut Company Limited (SMJC) has called its 5th AGM on 26th Mangsir, 2082. The meeting will be held in Smart Durbar, Shankha Park, Kathmandu, starting at 11 am that day.

There is an agenda to endorse the auditor's report along with the profit and loss statements, financial reports, and cash flow reports, and to appoint an auditor for the fiscal year 2082/83. The agenda includes approving the decisions made by the Board of Directors, discussing meeting allowances and facilities for board members, and endorsing the institutional good governance report.

The company has proposed to issue right shares in the ratio of 1:1, equivalent to 100% of its existing paid-up capital. The board meeting, held on Jestha 13, 2082, approved the issuance of 100% right shares based on the current paid-up capital of Rs. 1.17 Arba. Following the allotment of 11,732,000 units of right shares, the company’s paid-up capital is expected to double to Rs. 2.34 Arba.

The book closure for the AGM is on 14th Mangsir, 2082. Therefore, the shareholders maintained till the 13th Mangsir can attend the AGM.
