Sabita Bhandari Baral Appointed Nepal’s First Female Attorney General Under PM Sushila Karki

Interim Prime Minister Sushila Karki has recommended senior advocate Sabita Bhandari Baral as the country’s new Attorney General, marking a historic first for Nepal. President Ram Chandra Paudel will now formalize the appointment based on Karki’s recommendation.

Baral, who previously served as an Information Commissioner at the National Information Commission, is widely recognized in the legal fraternity for her expertise and years of advocacy.
