Rajesh Upadhyay Appointed Acting President of CBFIN

The Confederation of Banks and Financial Institutions Nepal (CBFIN) has named Senior Vice President Rajesh Upadhyay as its Acting President.

The post was vacant after outgoing President Prachanda Bahadur Shrestha resigned following his departure as Chairman of Himalayan Bank. On Bhadra 25, 2083 B.S., the CBFIN Executive Committee unanimously appointed Upadhyay to lead the organization until a new committee is elected at the upcoming Annual General Meeting.

Upadhyay, who is also Chairman of Mahalaxmi Bikas Bank, brings nearly 25 years of experience in banking, insurance, and finance. A founding member of CBFIN, his leadership is expected to help the organization navigate current economic challenges, strengthen banking stability, and drive sustainable growth.
