PM Balendra Shah Holds Talks With Security Chiefs

Prime Minister Balendra Shah has started separate discussions with the chiefs of Nepal’s three security agencies to assess the situation following the Bhotekoshi River flood in Rasuwa on Bhadra 10. The talks are focused on the search and rescue operations, relief distribution, treatment of injured people and the overall situation in the flood affected areas.

The Prime Minister is currently holding a meeting with Chief of Army Staff Ashok Raj Sigdel at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers in Singha Durbar. After the meeting with Sigdel, Prime Minister Shah is scheduled to meet Nepal Police Inspector General Dan Bahadur Karki and Armed Police Force Inspector General Narayan Datt Paudel later today, according to his private secretariat.

During the meetings, the security chiefs are expected to brief the Prime Minister on the ongoing search and rescue efforts, relief distribution and medical services in the affected areas. The discussions will also focus on the steps needed in the coming days, with the Prime Minister expected to provide necessary instructions based on the situation.
