NIC Asia Becomes First Nepali Bank to Accept Apple Pay and Google Pay Payments

NIC Asia Bank has announced that it will be the first bank in Nepal to enable merchants using its e-commerce payment gateway to accept payments through Apple Pay and Google Pay.

Through the bank’s CyberSource Payment Gateway, merchants can receive payments from international customers using Visa and Mastercard cards through Apple Pay and Google Pay. The service will allow customers to make payments using their mobile devices without directly using their physical cards.

The bank said the service will benefit businesses such as hotels, travel and trekking companies, handicrafts, airlines, e-commerce businesses and IT companies that receive payments from international customers. It expects the service to support Nepal’s tourism and digital payment ecosystem while helping businesses expand their international customer base.

The bank has stated that the new payment option will make payments simpler and more secure for international customers and provide a more convenient payment experience in Nepal.
