NEPSE to Remain Closed Today, Govt Declares Public Holiday on The Occasion of Gen Z Sahid Diwas

The Government of Nepal has announced a public holiday for Tuesday (today), i.e., on 23rd Bhadra, on the occasion of the 'Gen Z Sahid Diwas'.

The Nepal Stock Exchange Limited (NEPSE) will remain closed to mark Gen Z Sahid Diwas. Regular trading will resume in NEPSE from Wednesday (Bhadra 24, 2083) at 11:00 AM.

Gen Z Shahid Diwas is observed on September 8 to honor the young lives lost during the Gen Z movement and remember their courage and sacrifice. The day commemorates those who stood for democracy, freedom, justice, and a better future for Nepal. It reminds the power of youth voices and the importance of building a peaceful, inclusive, and accountable society.
