NEPSE surges meager 0.14 point; turnover above Rs 200 million

NEPSE index moved up meager 0.14 point or 0.01 percent to close at 945.12 level.

Similarly Sensitive and Float gained 0.37 and 0.05 points to close at 202.39 and 66.70 levels respectively.

The local bourse opened at 945.21 level this afternoon and went up high above 950 within the initial hour and there after gradually decreased to 943 before closing at 945.12 level.

Among the sub-indices, Banking gained 2.16 points or 0.26 percent to close at 836.16 level.

Hotels (1970.46) and Development Bank (795.97) gained 4.16 points and 3.17 points respectively.

HydroPower (2194.04) and Finance (530.13) plunged by meager 0.21 and 0.63 points respectively.

Insurance (3840.76) and Manufacturing (1494.04) dropped by 44.01 points and 5.82 points respectively.

Others managed to remain at 704.91 level.

Altogether 419,667 unit shares of 125 companies were traded through 1,461 transactions worth Rs 217.55 million.

PRVU, NLIC, NABIL and NLICL were traded most today.

TDBL, MLBBL, PRDBL and METRO were among the top gainers of the day whereas UFL, TNBL, HDL, APEX were the top losers of the day.
