NEPSE Surges By Minimal 0.01% To Close at 2,655.85 Levels; Trading Index Gains Highest

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) recorded a gain today, gaining by 0.47 points (0.01%) to settle at 2,655.85. This follows a 9.08-point loss in the previous session. 

The benchmark index opened at 2,654.61, touching an intraday high at 2,667.68, while the lowest point was 2,653.43. Total turnover for the day reached Rs. 11.44 Arba, with 25,393,762 shares traded across 308 companies through 95,374 transactions. The market capitalization stood at Rs. 44.24 Kharba, while the float market capitalization was recorded at Rs. 14.92 Kharba.

Sanima Mai Hydropower Ltd. (SHPC) topped the turnover chart, amounting to Rs. 89.01 Crores. The stock closed at Rs. 674.

Three sector indices led the gainers' list, hitting the upper circuit limit each.

Meanwhile, Nepal Hydro Developers Ltd. (NHDL) recorded the steepest drop, falling 4.43%.
 
 
Among sectors, only the Trading Index registered the increase, gaining 1.08%, while the Hotels and Tourism Index saw the highest loss at 0.06%.
