NEPSE steps up by more than 29 points (3.56%); turnover over Rs 200 million

The Benchmark index of Nepal Stock Exchange Limited (NEPSE) surged up huge by 29.98 points or 3.56 percent to close at 871.94 level.
Similarly Sensitive and Float gained 4.03 and 3.78 percent to close at 187.15 and 61.51 levels respectively.
Opening at 841.97 level this afternoon the local bourse started gaining points within the initial hour and reached above 865 level till the mid-trading hour and thereafter remained above that point throughout the day.
The news about the major political parties of the country to discuss the framing of the constitution and also further plans of development and stability led the raise in the confidence level among the investors.
Altogether 449,995 unit shares of 92 scrips were traded through 1,747 transactions worth Rs 200.68 million.
Among the sub-indices, Banking gained maximum of 39.69 points or 5.56 percent to close at 753.55 level.
HydroPower gained 119.15 points or 6.51 percent to close at 1948.92 level.
Insurance (3559.82), Manufacturing (1492.69) and Others (687.29) gained 66.51 points (1.9%), 18.56 points (1.26%) and 11.75 points (1.74%) respectively.
On the contrary Development and Finance plunged by 2.14 points (0.29%) and 2.55 points (0.49%) to settle at 747.84 and 517.27 levels respectively.
CHCL, BOK, EBL, NCCB, PRVU and CBL were among the top traded shares.
SRBL, SLICL. KCDBL, MDBL and CHCL were among the top gainers of the day with more than 9% surge in there share price.
RMDC, ILFC, SWBBL, KAFIL and SETI were among the top losers of the day.
