NEPSE Settles Today's Session With 0.85 Points Gain; Five Scrips Hit Positive Circuit

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) recorded a gain today, gaining by 0.85 points (0.03%) to settle at 2,675.62. This follows a 5.21-point loss in the previous session. 

The benchmark index opened at 2,674.15, touching an intraday high at 2,684.77, while the lowest point was 2,655.29. Total turnover for the day reached Rs. 6.52 Arba, with 14,299,394 shares traded across 318 companies through 59,633 transactions. The market capitalization stood at Rs. 44.52 Kharba, while the float market capitalization was recorded at Rs. 15.00 Kharba.

Universal Power Company Limited (UPCL) topped the turnover chart, amounting to Rs. 63.58 Crores. The stock closed at Rs. 458.

Five indices led the gainers' list, hitting the upper circuit limit..

Meanwhile, Gurans Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (GLBSL) recorded the steepest drop, falling 7.09%.

Among sectors, the Development Bank Index posted the highest increase of 1.66%, whereas the Microfinance Index saw the highest loss of 1.13%.
