NEPSE plunges 3.25 points; Maximum trading of commercial bank’s shares

The local bourse dropped by meager 3.25 points or 0.35 percent on the last trading day of the week to close at 924.60 level.
The total turnover of the day also plunged today and amounted only Rs 163.20 million.
Trading of Everest Bank shares amounted Rs 21.48 million (10,686 shares) which is more than 13 percent of the total turnover of the day.
Maximum shares of the Commercial banks like Nepal Credit and Commerce, Nepal Bangladesh, Nepal Bank, Prabhu bank, Kumari Bank, Everest Bank and Prime commercial Bank were traded.
60 percent of trading were done of the shares of commercial banks where as 14 percent of Insurance and 10 percent of Development banks.
Among the sub-indices, Others and Insurance index plunged maximum today by 1.45 percent and 0.47 percent respectively.
Hotels and HydroPower index managed to gain by 0.17 percent and 0.31 percent respectively.
Altogether 474,688 unit shares of 121 companies were traded through 1,187 transactions worth Rs 163.20 million.
