NEPSE Loses 59.7 Points and Closes at 2,455.33; Market Closes with Volatility of 92.39 Points

The NEPSE index lost 59.7 points on a highly volatile day today and closed at 2,455.33. The index opened at 2,523.45 and briefly made an intraday high at 2,529.64. The index lost in intraday action today, going as low as 2,437.25. With this, total volatility of 92.39 points was observed in the trading session today.

13,106,738 shares traded hands via 64,787 transactions. The trading of 208 scrips brought the total market turnover to a little over Rs. 6.11 Arba.

While the float index lost 4.42 points and closed at 168.95, the Sensitive index is at 443.95 after losing 9.8 points.

Asian Life Insurance Company Limited (ALICL) has the highest individual scrip turnover of a little over Rs. 28.26 crores. The shares of Kumari Bank Limited (KBL) traded the most.

Salt Trading Corporation Limited (STC) and Chandragiri Hills Limited (CGH) have technically hit the 10% positive circuit today. Meanwhile, Nepal Hydro Developer Limited (NHDL) has lost the most 7.31%, followed by Corporate Development Bank Limited (CORBL) which lost 6.82%.

Only the "Trading" and "Hotels and Tourism" sector gained today, with Trading gaining an impressive 9.18%. Among all other sectors that lost, Life Insurance lost the most 3%.
