NEPSE Loses 32.67 Points and Closes at 2,607.67; Ten of Twelve Sectors Close Red

The NEPSE index lost 32.67 points on a highly volatile day today and closed at 2,607.67. The index opened at 2,665.86 and went on to make an intraday high at 2,673.85. However, this optimism could not be maintained for the rest of the day. The index lost in intraday action today, going as low as 2,603.86. With this, total volatility of 69.99 points was observed in the trading session today.
21,614,452 shares traded hands via 78,858 transactions. The trading of 207 scrips brought the total market turnover to a little over Rs. 8.4 Arba.

While the float index lost 2.39 points and closed at 179.93, the Sensitive index is at 470.36 after losing 9.22 points.
NIC Asia Bank Limited (NICA) has the highest individual scrip turnover of a little over Rs. 38.24 crores. The promoter shares of Prabhu Bank Limited (PRVUPO) traded the most.

A total of 6 companies have technically hit the 10% positive circuit today. Meanwhile, Century Commercial Bank Limited (CCBL) lost the most 5.52%.


Only Hydropower and the "Others" sector gained, with Hydropower gaining the most 2.26%. Among all other sectors that closed red, Trading lost the most 3.02%.
