NEPSE landed in green after 3 trading consecutive falls; NLIC was highest turnover

NEPSE recorded surge almost after a week by gaining 5.38 points or 0.58 percent to close at 933.73 level.
Sensitive (199.87) and Float (66.76) moved up by 1.03 point and 0.41 point respectively.
The benchmark index was around 926 level till the initial trading hour and thereafter started gaining points up the index level of 936.
Trading of NLIC alone was of Rs 34.93 million or 15.81% of the total turnover. However trading of this share amounting Rs 27 million was matching trade by broker no 16.
After NLIC, SHL and Promoter Shares of Nabil Bank were traded most which amounted Rs 20.74 million and Rs 17.98 million respectively.
Share Price of Nagbeli Laghubitta and Sahayogi Bikas Bank surged by more than 9 percent today.
More than 33 percent trading were done of commercial bank’s shares. Shares of Insurance companies were traded 22.25 percent and of Development Banks and Hotels were traded 10.52 percent and 9.38 percent respectively.
Finance was the only sector today to land in red recording plunge of meager 0.79 point to close at 520.01 level.
Total turnover of the day stood at Rs 220.97 million.
Today was the closing day of 1:1.5 ratio Right Share issued by United Insurance and 8% BOK Debenture 2079 of Rs 600 million by Bank of Kathmandu.
