NEPSE Index Sees 8.57 Point Plunge to Close At 2,679.98 Levels, Overall Volume Reached Rs. 7.60 Arba

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) recorded a loss today, losing by 8.57 points (0.31%) to settle at 2,679.98. This follows a 19.04-point gain in the previous session. 

The benchmark index opened at 2,693.04, touching an intraday high at 2,703.78, while the lowest point was 2,665.48. Total turnover for the day reached Rs. 7.60 Arba, with 18,505,771 shares traded across 314 companies through 70,610 transactions. The market capitalization stood at Rs. 44.59 Kharba, while the float market capitalization was recorded at Rs. 15.03 Kharba.

Radhi Bidyut Company Ltd (RADHI) topped the turnover chart, amounting to Rs. 71.49 Crores. The stock closed at Rs. 790.20.

Om Megashree Pharmaceuticals Limited (OMPL) led the gainers' list, hitting the upper circuit limit.

Meanwhile, Sindhu Bikash Bank Ltd (SINDU) recorded the steepest drop, falling 8.28%.

Among sectors, the Microfinance Index posted the highest increase of 2.32%, whereas the Mutual Fund Index saw the highest loss of 2.96%.
