NEPSE Index Plunges 35.73 Points, Extends Losing Streak; All 13 Sectors Closed Red

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) recorded a loss today, losing by 35.73 points (1.32%) to settle at 2,658.93. This follows a 1.60-point gain in the previous session. 

The benchmark index opened at 2,694.04, touching an intraday high at 2,699.28, while the lowest point was 2,656.34. Total turnover for the day reached Rs. 6.67 Arba, with 15,538,474 shares traded across 315 companies through 75,508 transactions. The market capitalization stood at Rs. 44.28 Kharba, while the float market capitalization was recorded at Rs. 14.92 Kharba.

Radhi Bidyut Company Ltd (RADHI) topped the turnover chart, amounting to Rs. 60.15 Crores. The stock closed at Rs. 778.

Pure Energy Limited (PURE) led the gainers' list, hitting the upper circuit limit..

Meanwhile, Saptakoshi Development Bank Ltd (SAPDBL) recorded the steepest drop, falling 4.38%.

Among sectors, the Banking Index registered the largest decline, falling 2.34%, while the Mutual Fund Index saw the smallest drop at 0.01%.
