NEPSE Index Gains 86.05 Points in Pre-Open Session Today

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index registered a gain of 86.05 points (3.32%) during the 15 minute pre-open session today. Following yesterday's close at 2585.04 points, the benchmark index opened for today's trading at 2,671.09 points. During the special pre-open session conducted between 10:30 AM and 10:45 AM, a total of 285,810 shares worth NPR 12.35 were traded across 1,607 transactions involving 261 companies.

Overall market sentiment during the session showed 253 companies advancing, while 2 companies declined, and 2 companies remained unchanged. Among the traded equities, 11 companies recorded the highest surge of 5%, whereas ILBS witnessed the sharpest drop of 4.95%. Regular trading hours for the day will commence at 11:00 AM.
