NEPSE Index Falls by 4.15 Points, Led by Decline in Finance Sector; NRN Tops Turnover List

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) recorded a loss today, losing 4.15 points (0.16% ) to settle at 2,561.94. This follows a 30.02 point loss in the previous session.

The benchmark index opened at 2570.66, touching an intraday high of 2,576.85, while the lowest point was 2,544.10. Total turnover for the day reached Rs. 4.51 Arba, with 8,647,889 shares traded across 327 companies through 40,591 transactions. Market capitalization stood at Rs. 42.91 Kharba, with a float market capitalization of Rs. 14.53 Kharba.

NRN Infrastructure and Development Limited (NRN) topped the turnover chart, amounting to Rs. 48.48 crores. The stock closed at Rs. 2,087.00.

Three Companies led the gainer's list with a 9.99% gain each


Meanwhile, Unnati Sahakarya Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (USLB) recorded the steepest drop, falling 10.00%.

 

Among sectors,Hotels And Tourism Index registered the highest gain, gaining 1.64%, while the Finance Index saw the highest loss at 0.75%.
