NEPSE Gains Subtly to Close at 2,688.55 Levels; NGPL Leads Turnover While Overall Volume Stood at Rs. 9.82 Arba

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) recorded a gain today, gaining by 19.04 points (0.71%) to settle at 2,688.55. This follows a 7.94-point loss in the previous session. 

The benchmark index opened at 2,674.07, touching an intraday high at 2,705.56, while the lowest point was 2,669.58. Total turnover for the day reached Rs. 9.82 Arba, with 22,396,329 shares traded across 314 companies through 86,685 transactions. The market capitalization stood at Rs. 36.28 Kharba, while the float market capitalization was recorded at Rs. 12.76 Kharba.

Ngadi Group Power Ltd. (NGPL) topped the turnover chart, amounting to Rs. 69.01 Crores. The stock closed at Rs. 379.

Om Megashree Pharmaceuticals Limited (OMPL) led the gainers' list, hitting the upper circuit limit.

Meanwhile, Barahi Hydropower Public Limited (BHPL) recorded the steepest drop, falling 9.99%.

Among sectors, the Banking Index posted the highest increase of 3.82%, whereas the Hotels and Tourism Index saw the highest loss of 2.60%.
