NEPSE Edges Down By 0.43% to Close At 2,596.12; SHIVM Leads Turnover While Overall Volume Stood at 5.41 Arba

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) recorded a loss today, losing 11.29 points (0.43% ) to settle at 2,596.12. This follows a 12.17 -point gain in the previous session.
The benchmark index opened at 2609.72, touching an intraday high of 2,622.44, while the lowest point was 2,589.63. Total turnover for the day reached Rs. 5.41 Arba, with 10,868,146 shares traded across 320 companies through 50,437 transactions. Market capitalization stood at Rs. 43.41 Kharba, with a float market capitalization of Rs. 14.74 Kharba.

SHIVAM CEMENTS LTD (SHIVM) topped the turnover chart, amounting to Rs. 30.91 crores. The stock closed at Rs. 611.00.

Daramkhola Hydro Energy Limited (DHEL) led the gainer's list with 10.00% each

Meanwhile, Sampada Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (SMPDA) recorded the steepest drop, falling 10.00%.

Among sectors, Mutual Fund registered the highest gain, gaining 0.19%, while the Non Life Insurance saw the highest loss at 0.99%.
