NEPSE down by 4.22 points; turnover around Rs 141 million

The benchmark Index of Nepal Stock Exchange Limited (NEPSE) slide down by 4.22 points or 0.44 percent to close at 945.70 level.

Nepse Sensitive and Float also dipped by 0.98 and 0.17 points to close at 202.03 and 66.72 level.

Opening at 949.87 level this afternoon and thereafter faced downtrend throughout the day and came down to 943.67 till 2:45 PM and gained couple of points to minimize its lose at the end.

Among the sub-indices, Banking gained 2.72 points or 0.33 percent to close at 833.87 level.

Development (791.66) and Finance (530.75) dropped by 1.96 and 1.43 points respectively.

Insurance (3906.55) and Manufacturing (1499.86) slipped by 21.76 and 3.02 points respectively.

Others dropped by 17.62 points to close at 704.91 whereas Hotels (1976.42) and HydroPower (2198.06) gained 10.12 and 16.29 points respectively.

Altogether 432,977 unit shares of 122 companies were traded through 1,188 transactions worth Rs 141.58 million.

NLICL, NLIC, CHCL and CZBIL were among the top traded shares.

KCDBL, CBL, MSBBL and GBIME were the top gainers of the day whereas NIL, HAMA, CSDBL and IDBL were among the top losers of the day.
