NEPSE down by 3.83 points; turnover above Rs 200 million

The local bourse dropped by 3.27 points or 0.39 percent to close at 938.19 level on the last trading day of this week.

Sensitive dipped by 0.45 point whereas Float gained 0.02 points to close at 201.43 and 66.44 level respectively.

NEPSE index opened at 942.02 level this afternoon and thereafter dropped to 937.39 level till the mid-trading hour and thereafter remained at that level throughout the day.

Among the sub-indices, Banking plunged by 3.27 points or 0.39 percent to close at 827.90 level.

Similarly Development (789.07) and Finance (529.60) dropped by 3.4 points and 0.31 points respectively.

Trading (206.74) and HydroPower (2172.35) went down by 0.49 point and 15.75 points respectively.

Insurance dropped by 39.59 points whereas Hotels surged by 1.15 point to close at 3780.25 and 1943.62 levels respectively.

Manufacturing (1493.11) and Others (717.83) gained 1.87 and 1.18 points respectively.

Altogether 629,866 unit shares of 127 companies were traded through 1,472 transactions worth Rs 202.44 million.

NLIC, NLICL, EBL and NTC were among the top traded shares.

WDBL, NIL, TNBL and MDBL were among the top gainers whereas KCDBL, GBBL, METERO and LFLC were the top losers of the day.
