NEPSE down by 2.85 points; turnover below Rs 200 million

NEPSE index moved further more down today recording plunge of 2.85 points or 0.31 percent to close at 927.85 level.
Also the total turnover of the day remained below Rs 200 million. Altogether 429,892 unit shares of 124 companies were traded worth only Rs 178.73 million.
Trading of commercial banks were done more than 47 percent. Development and Insurance were traded 16.35% and 7.08% respectively.
Maximum amount of trading were done of Promoter shares of National Life Insurance among brokers no 49 and 40 where the buyer broker was no 49.
Shares of Prabhu Bank were traded more than 7 percent of the total turnover amid the news about Prabhu bank getting NRB nod to acquire Grand Bank.

Share Price of Sahara Bikas Bank surged by 9.97%. Also the share price of TNB: and JEFL moved up by more than 5%.
HydroPower Index dropped maximum among the sub-indices by 0.85 percent. Banking index and Hotel index plunged by 0.46 and 0.35 percent respectively.
Trading and Others gained 0.77 and 0.81 percent today.
