NEPSE Declines 33.83 Points to End at 2,833; Turnover Stands at Rs. 9.31 Arba

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) recorded a double digit fall today, declining by 33.83 points (1.18%) to settle at 2,833.03. This comes after a minimal gain of 33.27 points in the previous trading session yesterday.

The benchmark index opened at 2,868.87 and reached an intraday high of 2,869.67, while the day’s low stood at 2,822.68. Total turnover for the day amounted to Rs. 9.31 Arba, with 20,743,884 shares traded across 342 companies through 111,607 transactions. The total market capitalization stood at Rs. 48.31 Kharba, with a float market capitalization of Rs. 16.11 Kharba.


Reliance Spinning Mills (RSML) topped the turnover chart, recording transactions worth Rs. 61.80 crores. The company’s stock closed at Rs. 4,366.

 

In today’s trading session, five companies hit the positive circuit limit of 10%, including RLEL, SKHEL, HFIN, PCIL, and SIPD.


Meanwhile, Sindhu Bikash Bank Limited (SINDHU) recorded the Highest fall, falling by 9.47%, the last traded price of the company was Rs. 755.00

All sectors closed in red. Among sectors, the Finance Index registered the highest fall, falling 1.98%, while Mutual Fund Index recorded lowest fall, falling by 0.14%.
