NEPSE Closes with a Loss of 6.55 Points to Settle at 2,719.77 ; NRIC Sees Highest Turnover

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) recorded a loss today, losing 6.55 points (0.24%) to settle at 2,719.77. This follows a 15.64 -point loss the previous session.

The benchmark index opened at 2,723.81 touching an intraday high of 2,732.75, while the lowest point was 2,702.25. Total turnover for the day reached Rs. 5.14 Arba, with 12,701,097 shares traded across 317 companies through 69,024 transactions. The market capitalization stood at Rs. 45.46 Kharba, while the float market capitalization was recorded at Rs. 15.41 Kharba.

 


Nepal Reinsurance Company Limited (NRIC) topped the turnover chart, amounting to Rs. 35.35 Crores. The stock closed at Rs. 1,669.90

 


Him Star Urja Company Limited (HIMSTAR) led the gainer's list with a 9.98% gain each.

 

Meanwhile, Barahi Hydropower Public Limited (BHPL) recorded the steepest drop, falling 3.83%.

 

Among sectors, the Trading Index registered the highest gain, gaining 0.58%, while the   Hotels And Tourism Index saw the highest loss at 0.65%.
