The latest figures indicate a continued recovery in Nepal’s international tourism arrivals during the peak autumn travel season.
Tourists from the United States accounted for the largest share of arrivals in October, with 17,437 American visitors entering Nepal. The figure is significantly higher than the 13,286 US tourists recorded in October last year.
India ranked second, with 12,097 Indian tourists visiting Nepal in October 2026. However, arrivals from India declined compared to the 17,298 Indian visitors recorded during the same month last year.
China remained another major source market, with 11,695 Chinese tourists visiting Nepal in October 2026.
The United Kingdom ranked fourth among the top source markets for tourist arrivals during the month, according to the Tourism Board.
The October figures come during Nepal’s peak autumn tourism season, traditionally one of the busiest periods for trekking, mountaineering and other tourism activities.
