Nepal Rastra Bank has observed its 65th anniversary with a closely held event maintaining the social distancing as prescribed by the government to prevent Covid-19.
Addressing the event, newly appointed Governor of Nepal Rastra Bank has outlined several measures that the central bank currently undertakes to address the challenges in the economy appearing due to the effect of Covid-19. In his address, Governor Mr. Adhikari highlighted
*Borrowers will receive special packages for the payment of interest of their loan amount for the fourth quarter of the current FY
*Providing refinancing facility to the sectors that are hit hard by Covid19
*Providing extension period for the borrowers to repay their interest
The central bank has expressed its gratitude towards all the stakeholders for its smooth operation, as per the media statement.
