Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) has initiated the process of merging liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) companies operating under different names and brands to streamline the country's LPG sales and distribution system.

According to NOC Director Binit Mani Upadhyay, the proposed merger policy aims to simplify the supply and distribution of LPG while ensuring greater convenience and benefits for consumers.

As part of the initiative, the Corporation has formally written to all LPG industries, requesting them to prepare merger plans and take the necessary steps to move the consolidation process forward.

The move is expected to bring greater coordination within the LPG industry, simplify market operations and make LPG distribution more efficient.
